This is where it all began six-plus years-ago. When aero bars looked wacky and no one new about power meters. When pre-race meals were pasta and no one knew about their optimum fueling window! Water and bananas ruled!

Like many a small business, Dallas Sports University began with four members and carried the name, Dallas Athletes Triathlon Club-D3. Then, we changed to Dallas Athletes to accommodate single sport athletes in swimming, cycling and running. And now, in 2008, Dallas Athletes becomes Dallas Sports University (DSU).

DSU was created to dig deeper into the needs of athletes. Since you’re reading the triathlon section, let’s talk about triathlon training!

As you review the various triathlon training options, you will see the following programs:.
TRI 101 was the first, group training program offered by then, Dallas Athletes Triathlon Club.
TRI 202 was created to help the TRI 101 graduate climb a little higher on their adventure into the world of multisport fitness.

With the rapid growth of triathlon, we created Half Ironman and Full Ironman training programs.

These four programs are the staple of DSU.

As you explore the DSU website sections on triathlon, you will see two common denominators:

  1. Tom Ryan, founder of Dallas Athletes Triathlon Club, Dallas Athletes and Dallas Sports University, created all four triathlon programs. Tom remains active in those programs, today!
  2. The Group Training Dynamic is the galvanizing force of DSU’s success. DSU creates custom, one-of-a-kind, individual programs and semi-custom group programs. Both programs are integrated into over 20 weekly group workouts!

At DSU, you can always find a group workout, or spend time training alone. Either way, we’re here when you need some positive peer pressure; someone to push you a little bit, and finally, to celebrate your accomplishments.
